Composite Honeycomb Aluminum Panel

Aluminum honeycomb panels decorative panels are generally used 3003, 5005 and other grades, the alloy composition of the low 1100 plate is less used. Decorative surface using spray or roller coating form, coating for polyester or fluorocarbon paint, the best choice of spray panels for exterior panels, and requires more than three coats, paint layer thickness ≥ 40μm, so as to ensure the durability of the coating.
Aluminum panels need to undergo strict surface anodization treatment before painting to ensure sufficient coating adhesion and bonding strength with the honeycomb core, and the panel coating should meet the requirements of national specification YS/T429.2-2000.
Aluminum backsheet 
Aluminum honeycomb backsheet should be made of the same material as the panel, the surface is anodized, and the side exposed to the air should be coated with protective coating, the coating material can be polyester, epoxy, acrylic, etc., to prevent the rusting of the aluminum panel caused by long-term exposure to the air.
Aluminum Honeycomb Core 
Aluminum honeycomb core is manufactured by processing aluminum foil and special honeycomb node adhesive on aluminum honeycomb core production line. Factors affecting the performance of honeycomb core mainly include aluminum foil, node adhesive and honeycomb core specifications and other parameters.
Aluminum Foil 
Aluminum foil should be 3003 grade, the process should be strictly surface treatment, in the high strength or durability requirements of the product, it should be used with caution in the use of 1100 pure aluminum foil processing and manufacturing of honeycomb core materials.
Nodal adhesive 
Nodal adhesive should be selected epoxy modified high temperature curing adhesive, which can not only provide sufficient bonding strength and has excellent environmental and high and low temperature resistance. Common adhesives are often prone to de-glue the honeycomb core due to their low strength, resulting in overall destabilization.
The node strength of honeycomb core is the main basis for evaluating its performance, and its node strength data should be ≥2.0N/mm. 
Honeycomb core specifications 
Aluminum honeycomb core specifications are determined by the thickness of the aluminum foil and the size of the honeycomb aperture lattice, and different specifications of the aluminum honeycomb has a different density as well as different mechanical properties, and there are large differences in its cost.
The specification of honeycomb core can be expressed in two ways: the inner cut circle diameter of honeycomb aperture grid (imperial unit) and the thickness of aluminum foil/edge length of aperture grid (metric unit), and the national standard of our country is expressed in the thickness of aluminum foil/edge length of aperture grid.
